Timmarie: Full time wife to Chris and mom to Addison and Brody. Loves gaudy jewelry, traveling, coffee, winter clothes, ice cream, and classic hip hop. Hates pharasitical behavior, especially in herself. Plans imaginary vacations.
Chris: Loving husband to Timmarie. Fierce father to Addie and Brody. Loves Jesus, MMA fighting, Diet Coke and a good card game. His heart can be found in a pile of mush when holding Koleson or any other baby. He is also known as Addison's hero or Brody's wrestling partner.
Addison: 7 year old Jesus freak with more attitude than one could ever prepare for. She loves making up dances and teaching them to Alivia, asking for a sister, and second grade. This girl will mother anyone and anything. She also enjoys wearing mismatched earrings and did I mention asking for a sister?
Brody: 5 year old autistic phenom. Or at least we think so. He loves Disneyland, coffee, phonograms, animals, and the computer. He also enjoys taking everything you could possibly google about autism and blowing it right out of the water. Most endearing, he likes to cause trouble and then smile and hug his way out of it. 
Today, I am delighting in the fact the the Lord brought someone as lovely as K into my life.
K has been dubbed my Surface of the Sun Mom. My parents live out of state, and for the past 9 years, K has taken me under her wing, loved me, and shown me what a Godly woman looks like. She is one of my most favorite people on the planet. I have watched her love the elderly and the newborns alike. She has a heart for people from all walks of life.
K was in the room with me when Brody was diagnosed with autism. It was her birthday, and she still offered to come to a 3 hour doctor's visit. I will never forget the tears of grief she shared WITH me. She completely invests herself in our lives.
K and Brody have such a sweet relationship. She loves him for who he is, prays for him, and has thrown herself into knowing as much as she can about autism. He adores her ~ she is one of the first people he showed preference for.
K has seen the best and worst of what our family of 4 can be, and she loves us anyway. And I love her for that. I never feel like I have to be fake around her.
This evening when I put Brody to bed, I inhaled the scent of K's perfume, still on him from this morning. She just lingers in a persons life, never content to let them get too far away. That K, even when not physical close, always leaves her mark. Much like our Savior.
Dareth. I am a girl journeying through this life trying to enjoy as many moments as possible. I desire to please God with my life on this earth while looking forward to heaven. I hope to enjoy as many vacations as possible along the way.
I adore K as well. Her fingerprints are all over my life and her scent lingers there as well. While she was gone this week, I ached in missing her and the thought came I won't always have her. I almost couldn't breathe. One of my consistent prayers is that I will walk out love and life as my mom does. Her footsheps are safe to follow as I watch her walk in Jesus' steps ahead of me. She is the most Godly woman I know. Thanks for loving her too Timmarie.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I'm very grateful for K. Her love, grace, service, compassion, and love for the Lord is such a wonderful example to me. I absolutely love that she is all that and is STILL SO MUCH FUN to be around :)

K has been a huge influence in my life as well. Her example of strength, faith, and perseverance in life's struggles was a huge comfort to me after losing Burke. K loves with no limits and never forgets who you are and the personal things that you deal with day in and day out. Her unconditional love and ability to relate to anyone, anywhere, and at any time makes her timeless and priceless. That Phil should thank God for her everyday!! No one could ever take her place, but I pray that her spirit of love is contagious and I become violently plagued with it.
